  • The Uses of Intraoral Cameras

One tool your dentist may use during your exam is an intraoral camera. The intraoral camera not only allows your dentist to view your teeth and gums with ease, but it also lets him or her show you things like tooth decay and gum disease or the results of treatments like dental implants or cosmetic dentistry in Newton.

Watch this video to learn more about how intraoral cameras can be used in your dental care. The camera is a small device with an attached light that transmits images to a screen. Your dentist can use it to get a close-up look at part of your mouth and to do a full exam. Because the images are projected onto a screen, you can also view them so you dentist can show you exactly where a problem exists or what your completed treatment looks like.
